BerlinProtonen can be found at two locations

The treatment of eye tumors is performed at two different locations in Berlin. The tumor consultation and all preliminary examinations, the clip operation as well as the follow-up will be carried out at the Department of Ophthalmology of the Charité on Campus Benjamin Franklin in Berlin-Steglitz.

The preparation of the irradiation and the actual proton irradiation take place at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie in Berlin Wannsee.

The outpatient department of the Eye Clinic is located in the main building of the clinic. With the elevators 17 or 18 you drive to the fifth floor and are in the Polyclinic area, where the tumor consultation is performed.

The eye ward 40B is also located on the fifth floor of the main building in the so-called bed house II and can also be reached via the elevators 10, 11 or 12.

The therapy takes place in the P-building room 052. Access next to the back entrance to the K Building. You can drive to the area by car and park there. Before entering the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin you must register at the entrance and present a valid identity card or passport.

Public transport

The nearest station of the S-Bahn (line S1 & S7) or regional train is "S-Bahn station Wannsee". From there take bus 318 direction: "Hahn-Meitner-Platz". Attention: The bus 318 operates every 20 minutes between 7:00 and 10:00 and only every 40 minutes at other times! On Saturdays and Sundays, this bus does not run at all.

Alternatively, therefore:

From "S-Bahnhof-Wannsee" the bus 118 direction: "Potsdam Stern-Center" or "Drewitz" to stop: "Wilhelmplatz".

From Wilhelmplatz to the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin in "direction of travel" continue straight on the Chausseestraße and its extension Hahn-Meitner-Platz. Duration about 10 minutes on foot.

The journey by bus 318 takes 10 minutes, while the bus 118 and the subsequent walk are about 20 minutes.

By car

From the city center:
From the motorway junction Funkturm on the city highway Avus A 115 (direction "Magdeburg/Leipzig") about 10 km to the exit "Wannsee". Then direction Wannsee/Potsdam on the Königstraße (B1). After 3 km straight ahead on the right side of the road a signpost "Helmholtz-Zenrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie" will turn left into Chausseestraße and its extension Hahn-Meitner-Platz. Travel time about 30 minutes.

 

From the highways of Leipzig, Magdeburg, Dresden and Frankfurt/Oder:
From the Berliner Ring A 10 to the motorway junction Nuthetal (formerly Drewitz) on the city motorway Avus A 115 (direction "motorway junction Funkturm") to the exit "Wannsee", direction Wannsee and Potsdam in the Königstraße (B1) drive. After 3 km straight ahead on the right side of the road a signpost "Helmholtz-Zenrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie" will turn left into Chausseestraße and its extension Hahn-Meitner-Platz.

 

From the motorway from Hamburg/Rostock and Stralsund/Prenzlau:
On the Berliner Ring A 10 and intersection Oranienburger Kreuz A 111 follow the blue motorway signs "Magdeburg/Leipzig" and continue along the city motorway Avus A 115 as out of the city center (see above).

By taxi

The next taxi rank is at the "S-Bahn station Wannsee". On request we can call you a taxi to the HZB.
